NEVADA REAL ESTATE LICENSE RECIPROCITY
If you currently hold an active Salesman or Broker license in another state, you may be able to waive the education requirement for your Nevada license. Keep in mind there is no way to waive the license exam, fingerprinting/background, and application. There is no way to “transfer” a real estate license from another state to Nevada. You must apply in Nevada from scratch.
Only Salesman licenses have the education waiver. There is no education waiver for applicants seeking a Nevada Broker licenses.
California License Holders
If you currently hold a California salesman license, you only need to take the 45-hour Nevada Real Estate class.
If you currently hold a California broker license, you do not need to take any class for a Nevada salesman license.
Salesman License Education Waiver
If you hold an active Salesman (or higher) license in any of the following states, you do not have to take any education for your Nevada Salesman license. You can simply take the license exam and submit your license application. Your current salesman license must be active and in good standing.
Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Washington, West Virginia.
If you hold an active Broker license in any of the following states, you do not have to take any education for your Nevada Salesman license. You can simply take the license exam and submit your license application. Your current broker license must be active and in good standing.
California, Connecticut, Washington DC, Florida, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Penna, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Virginia, Wyoming.
